Modern Marketing-Super Bowl & YouTube

After gazing through the required blog list, one article that caught my eye was Superbowl & YouTube Drive CGM, in the Modern Marketing tab. The article talks about how consumer generated media has become one of the biggest money makers for companies trying to get there name out. Today, consumers aren't just interested in the game aspect of the Superbowl, but the commercials as well. In a recent publication, YouTube pointed out that only half of Super Bowl viewers last year watched because of an interest in the game; the rest were more interested in the ads or spending time with family and friends. Over 90 million viewers tuned into the Superbowl this past year, making it one of the largest attracted audiences towards a specific event of all time. This year, YouTube compiled the commercials that aired during the Superbowl and made them available for the consumer to watch. YouTube will only continue to grow as marketers take advantage of this convenient medium. You may view this article at YouTube & Modern Marketing
